Beach Houses at Talihau Beach
Talihau Beach, the place your south pacific dreams come true, is
home to Lucky´s Beach Houses. It is located on the island of 'Utungake
in the middle of the Vava´u group of islands, connected to the main
island of Vava´u via bridges.
Four little beach houses skirt the beach and offer a lovely view on
the pacific and the surrounding islands. It´s the perfect place to
relax, snorkel, enjoy the ocean and sleep to the sound of waves.
Gisela and Matakaiongo, your hosts, will ensure to make your stay at
Lucky´s Beach Houses an unforgettable one.

The
Beach Houses
The three beach houses are individually designed, each having its
own personality and charm.
Blue House
The lovingly furnished blue beach house is suitable for two
persons. The covered porch offers a wonderful view on the ocean.
The house has its own bathroom and a kitchen with a fridge and a gas
stove. The large mosquito protected door and windows make it very
breezy. Furthermore, the house is equipped with a fan.
The Blue House has been newly constructed in 2006.
Green House
This cozy house fits 2-4 people on two floors. It has an own
covered porch facing the ocean. The bathroom has a warm fresh water
shower. The house provides facilities to prepare tea and coffee.
The house is breezy, with doors and windows being moscito protected,
and has a fan.
Traditional Fale
Everybody longing to experience real tongan live will love this
original fale. It is build in the traditional way out of palm trees
and offers space for two people. The bed is shielded with a moscito
net. The many windows can be opened individually according to
personal liking, offering a striking view on the ocean. A separate
room within the fale provides a table and seats. The bathroom is
located separately, only few steps away. According to tradition,
the fale does not have electricity, but can be lit up at night with
battery-powered lamps.
Additionally,
an new smaller Tongan House was build in 2007 that can also be
rented.
Services
Catering
The price includes a rich breakfast, comprising toast, bread,
butter, fruit, coffee and tea.
Dinner is prepared by Gisela, a highly gifted cook. The menu
includes fantastic creations fusioning Tongan and European
cuisine. Salads, starters, meals and desserts are made exclusively
of fresh ingredients. Personal requests are allowed for, depending
on local market availability.
The Blue House has an own kitchen, making self-catering possible.
Drinks are available.
Activities
For those wishing to explore the surrounding islands and
snorkeling grounds, Lucky's Beach Houses rents out kayaks.
Moreover, Gisela and Matakaiongo are always willing to assist in
organizing individual activities, such as trips by car or boat,
whale watching, diving, fishing and lots more.
